1) Processing Time

GTA Shipping Promotion
Because there are many affordable and fast courier options in the GTA area, we offer special discounted shipping for customers located in the Greater Toronto Area.
Please make sure to apply the correct promotion code at checkout to receive your shipping discount.
If you forget to enter the code, we will issue a refund for the shipping discount when completing your order.
If the wrong promotion code is used, the shop reserves the right to request additional payment for the difference in shipping cost.
Only one promotion code can be used at one time.

For oversized or overweight items, additional shipping fees may apply. We will contact you if any extra payment is required before shipping.
3) Order Changes & Address Corrections

We can edit/cancel orders before fulfillment starts. Once packed or handed to the carrier, changes are no longer possible.

If the address provided is incomplete or incorrect, please email [thehobbypilot@gmail.com] immediately.

Re-shipment due to an incorrect address or refusal will incur additional shipping charges. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
4) Tracking

You’ll receive a tracking email/SMS when your order ships.

Tracking may take [24–48] hours to update after label creation.
5) Delivery Issues (Lost, Delayed, Stolen)

Delayed/Missing scans: If no movement appears [7] days (domestic) / [14] days (international) after the last scan, contact us with your order number.

Lost in transit: We’ll start a carrier trace/claim; resolution may take [5–10] business days.

Stolen after delivery (porch piracy): Marked “Delivered” but not received cases are reviewed individually. We recommend signature required for high-value orders (select at checkout or email us to add it).
6) Damages in Transit

If your parcel arrives damaged, email us within [48–72 hours] of delivery with:

Photos/videos of the outer box, inner packing, and product

We’ll file a claim with the carrier and advise next steps. Keep all packaging until the case is resolved.
7) International Shipping, Duties & Taxes

International orders are shipped [DDU / DAP (recipient pays duties/taxes at delivery)] unless otherwise noted.

Customs fees, import duties, VAT/GST, brokerage, and clearance delays are the recipient’s responsibility.

If a parcel is returned due to unpaid duties/unclaimed status, we can reship (additional postage required). Shipping fees are non-refundable.
8) Preorders & Backorders

Items labeled Preorder/Backorder show an estimated ship window of [DATE–DATE].

9) Split Shipments

10) Shipping Restrictions

We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes / APO/FPO for certain carriers or products [list exceptions].

Restricted items (e.g., hazardous materials, pressurized goods) may have limited routes or service levels.
11) Force Majeure

Weather, strikes, peak-season surges, and other events outside our control may extend delivery times. We’ll keep you updated if we learn of material delays.
